Our big boy is 3 today! I don’t know where the time has gone! No matter how much time goes by, it still feels just like yesterday that we were driving to the hospital for my induction! We had no idea if we going to be bringing home a baby girl or boy! Brian and I had 2 names picked out. Kinsleigh Rose for a girl and Keegan a boy! We were sure about our girl name but we debated for months over a boy name! That should have been my first sign that it was a boy! With our girls, I always had a boy name but never a definite girl’s name. This time it was the opposite! We had a girl name but no boy’s name!
After 12 or more hours of labor, an epidural that I later found out had started to fail (I wondered why I felt so much pain), and being told that I must have been having a big baby as the baby wasn’t moving down properly, I decided to have a c-section! It was one of the hardest decisions of my life! I never wanted to have a c-section! I remembered back to my first delivery 13 years ago! I was sitting in the hospital, waiting to see if it was “GO” time when I heard another Mom break down crying as the doctors told her she would have to have a c-section. I could tell that she was so upset and I felt bad for her! Realizing that I’d have to have a c-section this time reminded me of that moment, but I also knew that I just wanted this baby out! I was in so much pain by this point! I was hungry and tired.
You can read more of my birth story here! That was 3 years ago! And we love watching him grow up. He is a ball of energy and so funny! He loves telling jokes and laughing louder than everyone else! He gives the sweetest hugs especially when you tell him that you love him! Target is his favorite store! Anytime that he wants a toy, he asks to go to Target for it! His favorite shows are PJ Mask and Super Wings. He can hold a complete conversation with you. We’re always surprised by his vocabulary! There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t thank God for blessing our lives with this little guy!
Happy Birthday Kee!
