When Brian and I first started talking 11 years ago, he asked me out to lunch! I was working off of Falls of Neuse Rd at the time and so we decided to grab lunch at Jersey Mike’s Subs down the street! I think this may have been my first time at Jersey Mike’s as I’ve always been more of a Subway type of girl! If I remember correctly, we had only met once before this “date!” We ordered subs and found a table in the middle of the restaurant! We talked and learned more about one another before it was time for me to head back to work! It was during this date that I asked him to join my friends and me on a trip to Kingsdominion! Thinking back, I must have been crazy being that I barely knew him! And he must have been just as crazy to say “yes” since he didn’t know me that well either!

Fast forward to last week and we celebrated our 11th year of dating and our 5th year of marriage! Our wedding date is the same as the first day that we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend! That sounds so weird to say now for some reason! Over the years, we’ve found ourselves at Subway and Charlie’s more than Jersey Mike’s, but we thought that it would be fun to visit the place where we had our first date! It was in that place that we talked about life and love and started planning our next adventure together!

It’s amazing to think that it’s been 11 years since we first started dating, but it has! The last 11 years have been amazing!
