Summer Engagement at NC Museum of Art

July 20, 2022

In 2020, England was in school in Colorado while Morgan was in Norfolk, VA! They had a feeling that things would shut down completely with Covid! So when England’s classes were cancelled, he packed up everything and drove alone cross country to be with Morgan so that they could be together! How sweet!

We recently got to hang out with Morgan and England for the first time! These two are engaged and excitedly planning their 2023 wedding! We knew from our first conversation that we would have a lot of fun working with these two! We met them at the NC Museum of Art in Raleigh, North Carolina for their engagement session! The museum is one of my favorite spots in the area.

We spent time adventuring through the park with England and Morgan before the sunset for the day! Brian and I can’t wait to celebrate with these guys next year! Read on to learn about how England surprised Morgan with a proposal at her parent’s house!

Tell us about your proposal!

We regularly go to Morgan’s parents house to hangout and play board games with her sisters and parents. We scheduled one of these the final weekend of January 2021. I enlisted the help of her mom and sisters to arrange flower petals to say “Marry me?” and had them decorate with balloons inside the house. When we showed up at the house, her mom came and greeted us at the door and made sure we kept our shoes on and handed her our bags which was out of the ordinary, so Morgan was wondering what was going on. When she finally got inside, she saw the flower petals and balloons, and I got on one knee and proposed. We still ended up playing a game, but the whole day was very unexpectedly happy for Morgan and very relieving for me. I had a speech prepared and forgot all of it when it came time to propose.
