Shoes for wedding photographers

April 23, 2015

If you’re anything like me, you want cute and comfortable when it comes to shoes! But the cutest shoes aren’t usually the most comfortable shoes! Last spring, I went in search of a cute pair of flats that I could wear with dresses, pants, shorts, and jeans! I never wear jeans to weddings, but I like to have a pair of shoes that match EVERYTHING! During a trip to Nordstroms, I found the cutest little brown oxfords by Hinge! Read my more about them here and here’s the link to them on Nordstroms! I hate that they’re no longer available! Those shoes were AWESOME!

I decided that I wanted to try something new this year! I had heard so many photographers talk about how they loved Cole Haan shoes and figured it was worth giving them a try! I have to admit, I don’t love the style that I bought! They are the brown ones pictured below, but I have them in black! But I love how comfortable they are! Even after wearing them for 8 hours on a wedding day, they are still super comfy! Almost as if you’re walking on pillows all day! I highly recommend these shoes for ladies who photograph weddings!

I’ve also heard great things about the ballet flats from Cole Hann, but I have yet to try them! I might pick up a pair later this wedding season!

Have you found any really comfortable shoes? Please share them with us below!

Tip!!!

Here’s what I did last wedding season! I would wear an outfit with a pair of wedges for the bridal prep, ceremony and formal photos! Either right before the reception started or during dinner time, I would switch my shoes and throw on a pair of comfortable flats! It made all the difference in the world and my feet loved it! 🙂
