September 15, 2015

We’re continuing our photography timeline series today and sharing a sample timeline from two of our weddings. Creating a timeline is vital to keeping things organized and on track when it comes to your wedding day! If you missed part 1 or part 2 of our timeline series, check them out here!

Part 1: 3 Tips for Creating a Photography Timeline

12:30 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. – Photograph groom getting ready + Groom and Groomsmen photographs

1:20 p.m. – 2 p.m. – Bridal prep and getting into dress + Bridesmaids with Bride photos

2:05 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. – First look session (Bride and groom exchange gifts and spend a moment together before the ceremony)

2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.  Photograph Bride and Groom with Wedding Party (and family if they are available)

3:00 p.m. – Photographers capture the ceremony space before guest are seated

3:15 – 3:45 p.m. –  Spend time photographing candids with the Bride/Groom/Wedding Party

3:45 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Photograph guest arriving and prep for ceremony

4 p.m. – Ceremony begins

4:30 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. – Photograph Bride and Groom with family (if not done earlier)

5:00 p.m. – 5:25 p.m. Cocktail photos or more bride and groom photos

5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Reception photos

We simply photograph the reception as it happens for the most part. Depending on the time of your ceremony and the time of the sunset, we may pull you and your new husband/wife outdoors for a few photos close to sunset.
