Before Brian and I met years ago, I stayed in the gym! I wasn’t super fit or anything, but I loved working out! I would get up really early in the morning and work out prior to work or go during my lunch break! Then Brian and I met and we would go to work out in the evenings! Exercising has always been a priority for me. That was until kids came along! A business, kids, and house later and I’ve realized that I’ve lost my love of working out somewhere along the way! Every now and then I’d get into the moods of wanting to work out but nothing has stuck like back in the day! I’ve been spending a lot more time thinking about my schedule and life lately and realized that I really want to start back working out! I would love to get into shape again, but there are other reasons why I feel like I need to prioritize working out! Read on to learn 3 reasons why I joined the gym!
You would think that by this time in my life, I’d be a pro at self-care! But the funny thing is that up until recently, I’ve never put a lot of thought into self-care! I think as women and mothers, we often spend so much time taking care of everyone else that we forget to take care of ourselves too! I know that’s a constant struggle for me! So in an attempt at better self-care, I decided to start back exercising! My ultimate goal is to lose weight, but I want to get better at taking care of my body and health as well!
I’ve been a stay at home/work at Mom for the past 7 years and it has been amazing! But at the same time, there are days that go by when I may not get to chat with another adult other than Brian! Going to the gym allows me to have more of a daily schedule outside of the house and meet other adults!
Kee loves going to the kids club at the gym! He loves playing with the other children and toys while I work out! And I love that it gives me time to think and relax (as much as you can do while exercising) without a toddler hanging onto my leg!
