THE JOURNAL

Prints

December 4, 2017

My first camera was a film camera. I would save my allowance money so that I could buy film. Then I would beg my Mom to take me to the store so that I could get my film developed! Thankfully the store gave a discount for all of the photos that didn’t turn out so good! I loved taking photos but I had no idea what I was doing! I was probably 10 or 11 at the time!

I thought that it was amazing!

My next camera was a digital camera! I thought that it was amazing! No more saving money for film or trips to the store lab. I could take photos and upload them directly to my desktop! I loved it!

Apparently I wasn’t the only one who loved that idea as technology has only advanced us into a digital world since then! But there’s something that I miss! I miss holding prints in my hand. Or creating albums from all of the photos that we take! Yes, it’s awesome to be able to upload directly to our computers and Facebook, but what happens when Facebook no longer exist or our computer no longer works! Sure, USB drives are amazing for storing our photos, but it doesn’t compare to actual prints and books. Prints that are hung on our bedroom wall that we see everytime that we walk by. Or a photo album on the coffee table when family visits. Nothing compares!
For this reason, I’m excited to get back to the basics! From now on, we want you to walk away from your session or wedding with more than just digital photographs. We want you to walk away with printed art for the walls inside of your home and beautiful albums that you can pass down to your children and grandchildren! Email us to book your next session and we will tell you all about how you can achieve gorgeous photographs and albums for your home!
