THE JOURNAL

NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher | Wilmington Wedding DJ | Photographer

July 3, 2018

We seriously have the most amazing couples! When we started this business years ago, we never imagined that we’d get to work with so many amazing couples! I’ve always loved meeting new people, but there’s just something so exciting and special about meeting each of our couples!

When Whitney and Chuck reached out to us almost 2 years ago, we couldn’t wait to celebrate with them at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher! We love that they chose to have their wedding at one of North Carolina’s aquariums! It’s not everyday that you get to photograph a couple in front of a shark tank! Or that you get to DJ beside jelly fish!

Whitney and Chuck were both busy getting dressed when we arrived! While Brian setup to DJ for the ceremony, we headed started photographing the details! I love when our bride’s have details for me to photograph! This is probably one of my favorite parts of the day next to when the groom walks down the aisle! I love all of the pretty details that Whitney chose for her wedding day! I also love that Chuck created custom North Carolina socks and cuff links with his wedding date!

After a quick prayer with their officiant, Whitney and Chuck exchanged their vows in front of their family and friends! Watching Chuck in tears as Whitney walked down the aisle was beyond sweet! I love when the groom isn’t afraid to let his emotions show!

Everyone enjoyed dinner, cake and dancing for the remainder of the evening! Brian played “Here and Now” by Luther Vandross for the couples first dance as husband and wife! It always seems like wedding days go by entirely too fast! Before long, it was time to say goodnight to Whitney and Chuck as they exited through a sea of bubbles!

Cheers to the newlyweds!

How did he propose?

Chuck and I knew pretty early on in our relationship that we were headed for marriage. Chuck proposed at home on our two year anniversary. He wrapped the ring box in tissue paper and placed it in a gift bag and told me it was something edible. Much to my surprise, it was the ring. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and I happily and tearfully said “YES!”
