Spring Wedding at Merrimon-Wynne House

Erin and David’s wedding was filled with lots of smiles and quite a few tears too! When we arrived at Merrimon-Wynne, Erin and her girls were busy getting their makeup done upstairs! David and the guys were down the hall getting ready! Just before the ceremony, Erin shared a very sweet first look with her Daddy followed by a first look with David! I absolutely love first looks! Before long it was time for the ceremony to start! All of their closest family and friends were seated in the garden. Erin walked down the aisle with her Dad as everyone watched from their seats! Their vows were the sweetest! After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed cocktail hour out on the lawn before heading inside for the reception!

The reception was so much fun! Everything from the dances to toast to the party was amazing to witness! We’re so excited for these two as they embark on their journey as husband and wife! How did you two meet?

We met at work! We’re both teachers and during my first year teaching, we had classrooms next to each other. We started talking in the hallway between classes and after school. He gave me his number after spring break, and we finally went on our first date to a stir fry restaurant not long after!

Tell us about your proposal!

We were heading up to my parent’s lake house for Thanksgiving break. My mom had said she wanted to do family pictures, so to dress nicely. We arrived and my family was not dressed nicely, so I was annoyed since we were ready and wanted to take the pictures so we could change. David disappeared for a bit and then texted me to join him down on the patio by the water so we could take a picture while we waited. When I got down there, he told me he loved me and wanted to spend forever with me, and proposed with the perfect backdrop at my favorite place ever! My family watched from the porch and cheered after I said yes, and then we got to celebrate during the holiday!
