Carlos and Catreina’s smiles and laughter are contagious! From the moment that you meet these two, you can tell that they are in love and so happy together! It’s been almost a year since we started chatting with Catreina and Carlos about their wedding day! After months and months of planning, their special day was finally here!

Brian and I drove to Greensboro from Raleigh to spend the day with Catreina and Carlos at The Grandover Resort and Spa! We’ve had our eye on this venue for the longest time! We’ve always seen it off the highway whenever we travel to Charlotte or Atlanta, but had never actually been to it! When Catreina told us that she was getting married at the Grandover Resort, we couldn’t wait to finally check it out!

Carlos and Catreina had planned for an outdoor ceremony, but with clouds and rain in the forecast, they decided to exchange their vows in one of the resort’s ballrooms! The ceremony was sweet and short! The smile on Carlos’s face as Catreina walked into the room was so sweet! Catreina’s face lit up the same way when she saw Carlos waiting at the other end of the aisle! After they exchanged vows, everyone headed out to cocktail hour as we prepared for formal portraits of the family in the ballroom!

The rain stopped just in time for outdoor portraits after the ceremony! After spending some time with the bridal party and couple outside of the resort, we headed into one of the downstairs ballrooms for the reception! Everyone enjoyed dinner and dancing for the remainder of the evening!

Brian and I had so much fun working with these guys and can’t wait to share a few photos from their Grandover Resort and Spa wedding!

Tell us about your proposal!

It was on Christmas day and we were all sitting around opening up Christmas gifts. Carlos told me that I needed to check our daughter’s diaper because he believed she used the bathroom. When I picked her up, the ring box was underneath her. Then he took the box, opened it and proposed to me.

What are you most excited about on your wedding day?

Getting married to the one I love and sharing our wonderful day with our family members.
