I’m not sure how I’ve lived this long and never visited Virginia Beach! Growing up, my family would visit Atlantic Beach almost every summer! When Brian and I met and started our family, we started visiting Carolina Beach and Kure Beach every summer! We finally found our way to Virginia Beach this past weekend for Meshia and Danny’s wedding!

One of my close friends from college used to always talk about Virginia Beach and how she loved it! But I’d never been and had no idea what to expect! This past weekend, Brian and I packed up our gear and drove to Virginia Beach for Meshia and Danny’s wedding! Funny enough, we even snagged a Jeep Wrangler for our beach trip! We were really feeling the beach vibes!

Ironically, we didn’t see anything that looked anything like the beach! No palm trees, no sand, no ocean! The wedding was at the Founders Inn and Spa. Our hotel was a couple of exits away from the venue! I had these huge hopes of visiting the beach on Sunday, but we woke up to a huge downpour. So instead of actually driving out to the beach, we decided we’d have to save our Virginia Beach adventure for the next trip!
