Couch Potato

June 23, 2016

I always thought the term couch potato was funny and a weird way of referring to someone who spends a lot of their time on a sofa. But it seems that the last few weeks, I have turned into a complete couch potato. It has not been by choice, but more of a necessity at the moment. Between the days when I’m out shooting portraits and weddings, I find that my energy level has been zero! Some days are better than others and sometimes my mornings are better than my evenings. I promise you that I’m okay and hope to be back to 100% very, very soon! But I am so thankful to have a parter and husband who has been amazing and so very helpful in taking care of the house, the girls, the business and me too! He has been the extra push that I need to get off of the couch somedays. Or the extra push that gets me outside for some fresh air when I’ve been in bed most of the day! I’ve always known that he was a God send, but he has truly been amazing the past few weeks! And I totally missed wishing him a Happy Father’s Day on our blog, but it’s never too late!

I have always been an advocate of fast response times and fast editing times and I still do believe in those things. But I’ve realized that sometimes our health has to take a front seat. So just know that we’re not ignoring your email or text, I’ve just been forced to spend less time in front of my computer and more time sleeping on the sofa! If you have any ideas of how to work on a Mac desktop while in bed, please let us know below!!

Sincerely,

You’re sick but okay friend and photographer!
