Brown Mountain Beach Resort | Lenoir Wedding DJ and Photographer

It’s been months since we ate burgers and hung out with Ashley and Adam in Denver, Colorado! This time, they came to visit us in North Carolina! Their wedding was finally here and we couldn’t wait to see them again! Brian and I packed the truck up and drove out to the North Carolina mountains to celebrate with Ashley and Adam at Brown Mountain Beach Resort!

Every wedding is special and unique, but I love that these two chose to tie the knot on leap day, February 29th! One of the first things that they shared with us when we spoke on the phone last year was that they were so excited to get married on such a unique date! They also told us that they couldn’t wait to see all of their friends and family and spend the day celebrating with everyone! I think it’s safe to say that their mission was totally accomplished!

The ladies were getting hair and makeup done in the bridal suite when we arrived! Adam and the guys were getting dressed in a nearby cottage! This was our first time visiting Brown Mountain Beach resort! It’s such a unique wedding venue in Lenoir, North Carolina! It’s located next to a gorgeous river and there’s actually a beach on the river! Plus there are yurts that were perfect for their family and friends before and after the wedding! I can totally see why these guys chose the resort for their wedding day!

Ashley and Adam chose to share private vows before the ceremony! We found the perfect spot near the lake for just the two of them before the ceremony! So sweet! The ceremony took place on the beach beside the river! We were blessed with a beautiful, sunny but chilly day! Funny enough, it snowed earlier in the day and a nearby town actually got 5 inches of snow that day!

After the ceremony, all of the guest headed into the speakeasy for cocktail hour followed by dinner and dancing at the reception! The maid of honor gave the sweetest speech that had everyone in tears. Ashley and Adam’s parents surprised them with a choreographed dance to “We are Family!” It was so much! Everyone spent the rest of the night dancing nonstop as Brian played lots of fun music!
