Barn at Valhalla Wedding | Martha and Dan

From the photographs, you wouldn’t think that Martha and Dan said “I do” on a winter day in January! The weather was perfect for the beginning of January. Beautiful sunny skies and just a little chill in the air. Martha and Dan gathered all of their closest friends and family to witness their Barn at Valhalla wedding in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

How they met?

We met in grad school at Wake Forest. Dan was in his 2nd/ final year when I was just starting out. Dan went to great lengths to help me find things on campus, talk to me in class, and invite me to hang out with him and the other students in our program. I didn’t know anyone in town, so I was glad to have a friend. I think I thought he was just being friendly right up until he kissed me for the first time.

How he proposed?

Dan and I had decided to spend New Year’s Eve together in Boston. He told me he wanted to see if some arcade thing he had visited last time he was in town was still there. On the way there, we saw a photo booth and Dan suggested we take some pictures. He proposed while we were in the booth taking pictures.

We’re so excited to have been a part of their special day in Chapel Hill.
