A fairytale proposal in Charleston, SC led us to to this special day in the heart of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina! Dakota and Tyler’s wedding at Melrose Knitting Mill was a complete dream! It was the perfect April day for a wedding! The weather was perfect! All of their family and friends were in town and excited to celebrate their union!

We arrived at the venue as Dakota and Tyler were both getting dressed! Tyler and Dakota chose to have a first look prior to the ceremony where they exchanged private vows! I love first looks and private vows! It’s the perfect opportunity to see each other for the first time before the day gets really busy! After the first look, we spent some alone time with the couple before grabbing their friends and family for portraits!

The ceremony took place in the main ballroom! I’m obsessed with the exposed brick and drapery in the venue! The couple exchanged vows and shared a sweet kiss before walking down the aisle together! Everyone headed downstairs to the courtyard for the cocktail hour while the couple took photos! After hors d’oeuvres, everyone headed upstairs to the reception! The reception was filled with dinner, toast, cake and lots of dancing! Everyone had a blast dancing with the couple during the reception. The night ended with gold streamers just outside of the building!
