It’s hard to believe that it’s been over a year since I started the Date Night series on our blog! When I started sharing different date night ideas with you guys, I wanted it to become a resource for fun ideas to do. I also wanted it to be an excuse for Brian and I to go on dates of our own! Somewhere along the way, our schedules got busy and our date nights got pushed to the back burner! Now that we’ve all been quarantined for the past few weeks, I thought it would be awesome to share a few of our favorite quarantine date night ideas!

Quarantine Date Night Ideas

Digital Movie Night

This has been almost a weekly date night for us lately! Even before the quarantine! We will rent a movie on Prime or find something interesting on Netflix or Hulu, grab a snack, and relax on the couch together! It’s so easy to do! Our issue is making sure that we both stay awake through the entire movie!

Sundaes Together

We love ice cream in our house! Before all of this (and before starting my “diet”), we’d visit Coldstone’s weekly! I love the Founder’s Favorite at Coldstone’s! Especially the brownie and pecans! When we found ourselves under the stay at home order, I knew that we’d need to be creative when it came to our ice cream! We picked up our favorite turtle brownie, nuts, caramel and fudge at the grocery store and created our own homemade sundaes! It’s so good!

Lay Under the Stars

We haven’t done this one yet, but the idea of laying under the stars on a warm summer night sounds amazing! I can imagine that it would be so calm and peaceful!

Dance Party for Two

From our Tik Toks, it’s probably no secret that I’m not a dancer! Like not at all! I dance socially and that’s it! But Brian loves to dance! It’s funny because that was one of the first things that I learned about him when we met! We’d go out with friends and somehow Brian would always be the center of attention in the middle of the dance floor! If you enjoy dancing or even if you’re like me, a dance party with just the two of you could still be fun! You get to be the DJ and choose your music! You can slow dance together or battle it out to some of your favorite party songs!

Take Out Dinner

This is another one of my favorites! Quarantine has made me realize that my normal way of life is almost quarantine! Crazy, right? I’ve always enjoyed eating at restaurants, but with a toddler, it’s so hard to do! I’m the parent who can’t enjoy my meal because I’m worried about my child having a meltdown! So we’ve had some of the best take out dinner dates in parking lots! Thankfully, most of our favorite restaurants remained open for take out during the shut down! We’ve done Chinese food dates, pizza dates, Chick-fil-a lunch dates and even Subway dates!

Romantic Dinner in the Kitchen

I can’t believe that I’m going to say this, but I enjoy cooking! For the longest time, I only knew how to cook a few things! Spaghetti, hamburgers, and chicken in different variations! That was it! But thanks to Pinterest and having kids who aren’t afraid to say when something doesn’t taste good, I’ve learned lots of new recipes over the years! We do dinner every night as a family, but one night, Brian and I plan to have a candle light dinner with just the two of us! We might even get all dressed up like we’re going out to a fancy restaurant!
