It’s been a week since we celebrated with Meshia and Danny at the Founders Inn and Spa in Virginia Beach, VA! It’s been over a year since we started planning for their wedding! The funny thing is that when we first met Meshia, she wasn’t engaged yet! She was a bridesmaid in Jessica and Eric’s wedding back in 2017! Brian and I never attend rehearsals, but we attended Jessica’s. Meshia and I talked briefly before the rehearsal started! A few months after Jessica and Eric’s wedding, she reached out to tell us that she was engaged! Of course, we were so excited for her and couldn’t wait to meet her fiancé, Danny!

A few months later and we met for their engagement session in downtown Raleigh. Last weekend, we got to spend the day with them in Virginia Beach! Meshia and Danny are an amazing couple and you can tell that they truly love each other! I think that both of these guys were excited and nervous before the ceremony! Danny had a brief moment of tears just before the ceremony began! Meshia couldn’t stop smiling as she walked down the aisle to see Danny for the first time! It was the sweetest thing to watch these two exchange their vows!

We had so much fun with them and their bridal party! The reception was filled with lots of purple and silver. Meshia and Danny shared a very fun choreographed entrance dance into the reception! It was a surprise for the guest, but Brian and I were in on it from day 1 as he created the mix for it! Everyone had a great time dancing and eating cake during the reception!

Meshia and Danny ended the night with a fun sparkler exit! The day was absolutely perfect and we are so blessed to have been a part of it!

How did he propose?

Danny proposed at Le Yaca, a French restaurant in Williamsburg, Virginia on December 27, 2017. We enjoyed a three course meal and to my surprise, when my creme brûlée arrived, written on the plate were the words “Will You Marry Me?” Danny hired a saxophonist to play “our song,” “Sweet Lady” by Tyrese, and he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.
