From day one, we knew that Jazmin and Mo would fit perfectly into the Story and Rhythm family! Jazmin has this infectious bubbly and sweet personality while Mo is the cool, laidback guy! After months of chatting, we met them for the first time last fall in Maryland for their engagement session! Be sure to check out their Maryland engagement session! Months later and it was finally Jazmin and Mo’s big day! It feels like we waited forever for this day to come!
This was our first time visiting Washington, NC for a wedding! I lived 30 minutes away from Washington, NC for years and never knew how charming the town was! We spent the morning with Jazmin and Mo as they got dressed and prepared for the ceremony! Their ceremony was simple and sweet! Mo’s expression when he saw Jazmin was priceless and I loved how happy they both were as they exited the ceremony! Cocktail hour and dinner followed the ceremony! Brian played light music during cocktail hour while the guest enjoyed fruit and hors d’oeuvres!
The parents and wedding party had fun as they danced into the reception! Jazmin and Mo shared a very sweet dance for the first time as husband and wife! The rest of the evening was filled with cake cutting, bouquet and garter tosses, and dancing!
We had so much fun celebrating with these two! Congratulations again Jazmin and Mo!
How did you meet?
We met through a mutual friend in college. Richard was a close friend of mine from my alma mater Bowie State University and Mo met Rich at his high school alma mater Eleanor Roosevelt High School. Richard knew that I have been dealing with a bad breakup and bad matches while at school so he decided to introduce me to Mo. We exchanged numbers and it’s history from there.
Tell us about your proposal!
It was a normal Sunday just hanging out together. We went out briefly in DC to attend an event and eventually made our way back home so that could catch the Redskins football game. We hung out that night and watched the game. Mo starting acting weird during the evening pacing and turning the light on and off in the living room. I’m thinking he’s being silly as normal so I didn’t think too much about it. We’re always laughing and joking about one thing or another. When halftime started, he pulled me into our bedroom and got down on one knee and proposed. It was perfectly us!
