There’s a lot that goes into planning each part of a wedding day! From choosing a wedding venue to colors and your dress! Then throw in choosing a menu for dinner and creating a guest list! It’s a lot to think about! I remember how stressed Brian and I were at times while planning our wedding! Not many people know what a full wedding day looks like when it comes to wedding photographs! Will the photographer take photos of my dress? My Fiancé getting ready? Will there be photos of our first kiss? Our first dance? I’ve put together a full wedding day of photography to give you guys an idea of the photos that you should expect!
The Details
I love starting my day with the details! I believe that the details set the overall tone of the gallery! Once we’ve said hello to the bride/groom, I usually ask for all of the details! The wedding dress, shoes, jewelry, invitations, flowers, handwritten vows. Anything that is special to your day!
Getting Ready with the Bride
After the details, I try to spend a few minutes getting some makeup shots! The bride is typically getting her makeup done while I’m photographing the details! I like to wait until the makeup artist is just about done before I take photos! After that, I like to photograph the bride and bridesmaids in their robes or pajamas before asking everyone to get dressed!
Getting Ready with the Groom
I also enjoy photographing the Groom’s details and a few getting ready photos of him and the guys!
First Look
If you guys have chosen to do a first look before the ceremony, it will happen right after everyone is dressed! I’ll scope out the first location and give you guidance on what to do during your first look!
The Ceremony
Next, I’ll photograph your ceremony! I love when I’m able to photograph the ceremony space without guest! Ceremony photos typically include a few guest arriving, the processional, the space, unity ceremony, the ring exchange, the first kiss and the processional out of the ceremony!
Family Photographs
Prior to your wedding day, I’ll work with you guys to create a family shot list! You can view a sample shot list here!
Bridal Party Portraits
We’ll spend some time photographing the girls, the guys and the entire bridal party together!
Bride and Groom
I like to end with just the bride and groom! This allows the two of you to spend a few moments together before entering the reception!
Reception
The reception photographs typically include the space, the cake, entrances, special dances, food, the party! Everything that helps to tell the story of your wedding reception!
The Exit
I love ending a wedding day with a fun exit that includes the newlyweds and their wedding guest! A few of my favorite exits have included rose petals and leaves, sparklers and bubbles!
