As a kid, I loved riding bikes! I’d wake up early in the morning, ride my bike over to my Grandmother’s house next door where I’d sit outside and play dominos with my Uncle! Other days I’d jump hills behind my uncles house or ride with my nephew when he lived nearby! Eventually I traded in my bike wheels for car wheels and forgot about riding bikes! I’d see bikes at our local gym but I never gave much thought to them! Our old gym even had a huge indoor cycling studio, but I never took a spin class.
Almost 2 years ago, I took my first spin class at Cycle Bar! One of our amazing clients introduced me to indoor cycling at Cycle Bar and I fell in love! Actually, I almost died the first few classes, then I fell in love! I loved the atmosphere. I loved how hype the classes were. I loved the loud music. I loved how sweaty I was after class. Gross I know! But I loved that the sweat meant that I’d actually put in work and not just wasted my time. There was a time when I’d hit the gym and try my best not to sweat! That was years ago and I had no clue what I was doing!
If someone would have told me that I’d fall in love with cycling as an adult, I would have said no way! But here I am! I have so much fun riding this bike that goes nowhere! I’m so excited to have celebrated my 200th ride this past Friday!
