We’ve been home since Monday morning, but I am still recovering from our weekend trip in Charlotte, NC! I’m learning that traveling with the kids is totally different from traveling with just myself and Brian! Typically we’re by ourselves when we travel for work, but this time we packed up the kids and took them with us! Here’s a weekend recap of our time in Charlotte, North Carolina!
We woke up really early Sunday morning and packed the kids and gear into the car and drove to Charlotte! After a nearly 3 hour drive, we were all ready for breakfast! We grabbed a late breakfast and then headed to Jeni’s Ice Creams! I have been a fan of Jeni’s since our girls trip to Charleston back in July! This was Brian’s second time having Jeni’s and the kids first time! I think that it’s safe to say that the kids loved it! A scoop of ice cream and lots of sprinkles later, we headed to the wedding ceremony location!
Joe and Jennifer’s wedding ceremony took place at Independence Park near downtown Charlotte! The park was beautiful and we love that they chose it for their ceremony! After the ceremony, all of the guests headed to the Harvey B Gantt center for dinner and the reception! While Brian celebrated with the couple and their guests, I hung out with the kids at a nearby hotel!
We lounged in the room, went to the pool, watched television, ordered pizza and took a quick nap! Before long, Brian was back at the hotel with us and it was time for bed! The kids had school on Monday and so we drove home super early so that they could make it to school! Take a peek at a few photos from our trip to Charlotte, North Carolina!
