As a wedding DJ and photographer team, we get to visit lots of beautiful wedding venues all over the United States! Today we’re sharing some of our favorite wedding venues that we’ve had the pleasure of working at over the years! We’ve included lots from the Raleigh – Durham area just in case you’re looking for a venue locally!

1705 East

We’ve worked several weddings at 1705 East in Raleigh, NC! It was formerly known as 1705 Prime. As a photographer, I really like the upgrades that they’ve made to the ballroom and the bridal suite! This wedding venue is located what feels like the heart of Raleigh.

Cotton Room

The Cotton Room is easily one of my favorite wedding venues in Durham, North Carolina! I love that they have everything that you need on your wedding day! A bridal suite, groom suite, ceremony and reception space and even space for outdoor portraits! The white drapes paired with the exposed brick is so pretty! I love shooting weddings at The Cotton Room!

 

Cloth Mill at Eno River

The Cloth Mill at Eno River is an industrial and chic wedding venue located in Hillsborough, NC! It’s a beautiful wedding venue with an outdoor and indoor space for your ceremony and reception! I got to photograph an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception during my time at the Cloth Mill!

 

Noah’s Event Venue in High Point

Working at Noah’s Event Venue in High Point was a dream! There’s a bridal suite, groom suite, ballroom, pond and a room that can convert into an indoor/outdoor ceremony space! Brian and I both enjoyed working at this North Carolina wedding venue last spring!

 

Grace Weddings and Events

The upstairs ballroom at Grace Wedding and Event Center was like something out of a fairytale! I am obsessed with the all white draped space inside of the ceremony room! There’s also a reception space on the first floor!

 

The Bradford

The Bradford is a beautiful house located out in New Hill, North Carolina! Their website says that it was designed to embrace the countryside of Europe while incorporating the serenity of home! I can totally agree! The Bradford has a modern charm to it with a very luxury feel! I love that there are so many rooms with gorgeous natural lighting throughout the venue! There’s a space for your ceremony (tented or not) out back and a ballroom that is perfect for dinner and dancing!

Grand Marquise Ballroom

The Grand Marquise Ballroom is one of the most elegant ballrooms that we’ve worked at in the Raleigh area. The staircase is one of the highlights of this space! Brian and I have enjoyed working at The Grand Marquise ballroom over the years!

Market Hall

I love historic and rustic wedding venues! Market Hall is a beautiful wedding space in the heart of downtown Raleigh! What I really like about Market Hall is that it’s surrounded by cobblestone streets! There are lots of pretty spaces nearby for outdoor wedding portraits too!

Stockroom at 230

Another one of my favorite downtown Raleigh wedding venues is Stockroom at 230! It has a rustic feel to the space and I love the Glass Box for getting ready photos! There’s also a balcony off of the Glass Box that could be amazing for photos! I also love that it’s located right off of Fayetteville street in downtown! There are lots of spots within walking distance for awesome wedding photos!

The Hall and Gardens at Landmark

This was one of the first wedding venues that we visited years ago! It’s a gorgeous wedding venue located in Garner, North Carolina! It’s actually about 15 minutes from our house now! I love the upstairs ballroom and the garden area! You have the option to have an indoor or outdoor ceremony as well as an indoor or outdoor dinner reception! There is a really neat grooms suite and a bridal suite inside The Hall and Gardens at Landmark too!

 

Barclay Villa

Brian and I actually thought about having our wedding at Barclay Villa years ago! Barclay Villa is a castle-like wedding venue located in Angier, North Carolina! The house is surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds and at least 2 pools. There’s a 2 story ballroom, a bridal suite, a groom suite (complete with a pool table) and a beautiful garden area for an outdoor ceremony! It’s always great photographing and DJ’ing weddings at Barclay Villa!

Rand-Bryan House

The Rand-Bryan House is a beautiful wedding venue surrounded by lots of land near Garner, North Carolina! We’ve worked several weddings at Rand-Bryan House over the years! The owners are also very sweet to work with!

Doubletree Brownstone

The Doubletree Brownstone hotel in downtown Raleigh used to be a venue that we frequented at least once a year! The Brownstone hotel has several rooms that can be used for a ceremony and/or reception! I especially like the ballroom on the second floor!

Inn at Crestwood

The Inn at Crestwood in Boone, North Carolina is a beautiful wedding venue nestled in the woods! Getting to the venue was a little scary with the curves and hills once you get off of the main road, but once you arrive, you forget all about that part! The Inn at Crestwood is a complete hotel with rooms as well as cabins. There is a gorgeous ballroom with big windows that look out into the mountains! There’s a terrace with lots of grass below! The Inn at Crestwood is one of my favorite wedding venues in the North Carolina mountains!

Peninsula Club on Lake Norman

We love visiting The Peninsula Club on Lake Norman outside of Charlotte, North Carolina! This venue feels upscale and I love that the outdoor ceremony site overlooks Lake Norman! I also like that you can go out onto Lake Norman for wedding portraits!

Founders Inn and Spa in Virginia

The Founders Inn and Spa is a gorgeous hotel and wedding venue in Virginia! The grounds are landscaped so beautifully. There are so many spots for photos! There’s a lake just behind the outdoor ceremony space! There are several ballrooms inside the inn! I feel like you could photograph this venue over and over again and always find new spots for photos!

The Great Room at TOPO

As Tarheel fans, we love visiting Chapel Hill for weddings! One of our favorite Chapel Hill wedding venues is The Great Room at TOPO! It’s located in the heart of Chapel Hill near the campus! The ballroom has exposed brick and beams! Downtown Chapel Hill is beautiful for natural light wedding portraits! I also thought the food was amazing at The Great Room!

Prestonwood Country Club

The Prestonwood Country Club is a gorgeous wedding venue in Cary, North Carolina! It’s easily one of the most beautiful country clubs in the area! One of my favorite things about this venue is the large staircase and the design inside of the ballroom!

 

The Cannon Room

There’s a sort of new wedding venue in the middle of downtown Raleigh called The Cannon Room! We’ve had the pleasure of visiting and working at this beautiful top floor venue several times! I love how clean and elegant the ballroom feels! I also love that it overlooks downtown Raleigh!

Separk Mansion

Brian had the pleasure of being the DJ for a wonderful couple who tied the knot at the Separk Mansion last year!

Upstairs at Midtown

Brian and I drove down to Charleston SC for an upscale wedding at the Upstairs at Midtown this past fall! I love whenever we have an excuse to visit Charleston, SC! Especially now that we’ve discovered Glaze donuts on King street.

 

128 South

It’s been years since we worked at 128 South in Wilmington for the first time! It’s a cute wedding venue in the heart of downtown Wilmington!
