We are always searching for ways to work more efficiently while still being totally awesome at what we do! I had seen a few other photographers in the industry mention how they use walkie talkies to communicate with their assistants and 2nd shooters! Why not give it a try!

We purchased our walkie talkies from B&H Photo Video but other sites and stores sell them! We decided to do a couple of test to see just how useful these little babies would really be! During the pre-ceremony photos, Brian headed outside to the beach while I photographed the bride in the hotel! I tried buzzing him a couple of times, but I’m think the loud waves were too much to get his attention!

Later on, Brian ran to the car while I waited at the ceremony site and we were able to communicate the entire time! That was awesome!!

We tested them out again at the reception site and had no problems!! I can’t wait to use them at our next event! I think they will be an awesome addition to our wedding flow!
