This session started off similar to many of our past sessions. But Craig had a surprise for his girlfriend, Tanika. You see, Craig contacted me a couple of months earlier and told me that he had just purchased the perfect ring for his girlfriend. He wanted to surprise her with the ring during their upcoming couples portrait session at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham, North Carolina. I have the say that their surprise proposal session in Durham, North Carolina was so much fun. I loved being in on the secret and helping Craig make his dream (and Tanika’s) come true. We spent the first half of their session adventuring around the campus. Craig and Tanika laughed and seemed to be having a great time. After their planned outfit change, we headed over to a less busy location and I gave Craig a chance to do his thing. It was so sweet to capture Tanika’s expression as Craig dropped down to one knee and took out that tiny black box from Bailey’s. Surprise!!!! After lots of “omgs”, hugs and kisses, we finished their session with a few more photos. So sweet! And we are so happy for these guys and can’t wait to learn more about their journey to the alter!! Congrats again guys and thanks for trusting me to be a part of an amazing surprise!!
