McAllister and Cornell are such an amazingly sweet and fun couple. Their rustic wedding at The Stockroom at 230 was a complete fairytale. The Stockroom is a downtown Raleigh wedding venue. It was the day that McAllister had waited her entire life for. She was marrying her prince and couldn’t be more excited. We’re so glad that we got to spend the day with these guys. From getting dressed in her sister’s house to saying “I do” in a beautiful rustic setting ceremony at the Stockroom in downtown Raleigh. It was a beautiful day and we’re so excited for these guys as they begin life as husband and wife. Read more about how they met and the proposal.
How did you meet?
We met at Ray’s wedding. Cornell and Ray are really good friends and Ray is his best man.
How did he propose?
We booked the venue before we were engaged so I knew it was coming. I am terrible about allowing things to be a surprise so I pestered Cornell about a date. He convinced me he was going to propose on July 4th. Every time I would ask, at least 3 times a day, he would respond with “boom boom, boom boom’.
On June first, we went to the Dominican Republic for our first vacation together. On the first day there we were walking down the beach and we made our way to a private area. We were laughing and having fun and I turned to him and asked, “Is this real life, are you my boyfriend?” and he responded by saying no and getting down on one knee. I then pre-empted any wonderful speech he had planned by asking “Are you about to propose?” Followed by ugly crying and an awesome rock ☺
