I have always loved reading! I remember reading books in elementary school and taking literature classes in college. There is just something about getting lost in a really good book. While in college, I met this guy who introduced me to authors such as Carl Weber and Zane. I fell in love with reading all over again. Every week, I would browse the library for a new book for years. Then all of a sudden, I stopped reading. I think it was a mix of having kids, jobs, and more responsibilities. Now that our girls are growing up, I want them to enjoy reading like I have all of these years. When we started designing Addie’s room, I came across these DIY book holders on Pinterest. They are made out of Ikea Spice racks and are the perfect size to hold Addie’s little books. We also make it our thing to read a book every night before bedtime. We visit the local library and pick out new books each week. Or sometimes we will pick up a new book that we come across in the store. It’s funny because now that we make it our business that Addie reads on a consistent basis, I have found myself searching for new books too.
