It’s only January, but we’re already thinking about June! We can’t wait to celebrate with Brittany and Jalen this summer! Brittany is a fellow Pirate! It’s always fun meeting fellow ECU Pirates! And Jalen has a really cool job in the military! These two are just the cutest! We met these guys at one of our favorite locations near downtown Raleigh! The Raleigh Rose Gardens is such a pretty and unique location! Especially when all of the roses are in bloom! We had so much fun hanging out in the gardens and chatting it up with these two! Can’t wait spend an entire day with them this summer!

How did you guys meet?

We met in high school and we are complete opposites! It took Jalen over a week to finally get my phone number because I would turn him down every time he asked- I thought we were just too different. Everyone thought we were crazy for getting together, but almost four years later and here we are, about to get married!

Tell us about your proposal!

I was over at his family’s house because I thought we were all going to ride together to visit his grandma, but when we went outside he had a banner and balloons set up and my family was there as well when he asked me to marry him! I was so surprised and I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal.
