This was my second time getting caught in the rain during a session or wedding this year! The first time was a few months ago at Casey and BJ’s wedding in Boone, North Carolina at the Inn at Crestwood! This time, it was with Angelica and her husband at their family session at Yates Mill Pond park near Garner, NC!  I love that Angelica and her husband weren’t afraid of the rain and even had fun with it! I’m also thankful that their friend was there and didn’t mind holding my umbrella throughout our session!

There’s a huge bonus to taking photos in the rain at Yates Mill Pond is that you pretty much have the entire park to yourself! If you’ve ever been to Yates Mill on a Saturday during the fall, you know that there are typically lots of families and photographers everywhere! We were basically the only guest in the park and it was amazing! We adventured near the old well and under the bridge before heading to the wooden bridge on the opposite side of the park!

It was really cool hanging out with these guys and the rain just made it even more fun!
