Ashleigh and Garrett both attended NC State University , but never met! A few years later, they both ended up working at the same company in Kinston, North Carolina. They never knew that a simple conversation and dinner with friends would take them on such a journey together! Two weekends ago, they said their vows as their closest friends and family looked on!

Ashleigh told me how she fell in love with Poplar Grove Plantation during her first visit! It is a beautiful historic venue in Wilmington, North Carolina! Not only is the inside of the house gorgeous, the grounds are just as gorgeous! Brian and I enjoyed being their Wilmington wedding DJ and photographer!

Ashleigh’s parents had a few surprises for her on her wedding day! They also had created lots of special touches that complimented her wedding day perfectly!

Ashleigh looked amazing! 

I’ve heard the tale of how if you bury a bottle of bourbon where you’re getting married, it will keep the rain away on your wedding day! I don’t believe that Ashleigh and Garrett did that one, but I do believe that everyone there was praying that the rain and storms would hold off! During the ceremony, the sky turned dark and you could hear thunder off in the distance. Thankfully those storms held off until everyone was safe inside the barn for the reception! It was just enough rain to wish them well wishes on their wedding day!

These were the cutest little jars of peanut butter that I had ever seen! They are from a company called Blind Spot Nut Butters and they have an amazing story!
