Brian and I don’t talk about our eating (other than the fact that we love to try new restaurants), but we’ve spent the past 7 months on a cleaner eating journey! I use the world “cleaner” because we still love our burgers, pizza and desserts. But we also realize the importance of eating cleaner most of the time! After our recent trip to the pop up farmers market in Raleigh, we went in search of a smaller local fruit and veggie stand! One that didn’t require an hour wait in line! Perkins Orchard was the first one that we found.
Perkins Orchard is an adorable little fruit stand in Durham, North Carolina. As we were driving in, we realized that we have driven by this place several times in the past years! Perkins Orchard has a good variety of watermelons, apples, potatoes, onions, etc. We decided to grab a $20 bag and get some of our staple veggies and fruits. They offer a free item when you purchase a bag, so we grabbed one of Brian’s favorites, pineapple.
We’ll definitely be visiting Perkins Orchard again in the future! Everything that we packed in our bag was amazing! Plus we love the idea of knowing that we’re purchasing from local farmers.
