THE JOURNAL

Operation Mint Dress

September 11, 2017

Let me just start by saying that Brian is a really sweet husband! He’s the type of guy who will bring me Reese’s because he knows it’s my favorite candy. The type of guy who calls me names like princess and sunflower. So I know that his most recent gift was done with lots of love. Maybe even a little tough love.

Ever since Addie was born, I have struggled with my weight. It’s been up and down for the past 5 years. I’ll lose and gain. The pattern repeats. I’m always saying how I’d love to lose a few pounds or dress sizes but I never get very serious about it. Well once I did and I lost quite a bit of weight. But then Kee came along. When he was born, I was heavier than I’d ever been. Thankfully to nursing, I’ve lost all of my pregnancy weight but I’m still not where I want to be!

It’s not that I really want to be a certain number on the scale. I really just want to feel confident in my clothing. I know my ladies understand what I mean!
So on our anniversary, my very sweet husband surprised me with a dress. A mint color dress that is about 2 sizes too small. He says it’s motivation! I say it’s coming between my relationship with cheesecake!
So here’s my goal! I have one year to fit into this dress! I tried to try it on and couldn’t get it past my shoulders! But by our next anniversary, I plan to be able to wear it! I’ll try to share updates here and there. Let’s call it our Operation Mint Dress series!
If you have any healthy lifestyle advice, leave it below! I’d love to hear it!
