Engagement sessions are one of my favorite sessions! I love that we get to meet and hang out with our couples prior to their special day! It also gives our couples a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera and learn a few tips for their wedding day! A few weeks ago, we got to meet Rebecca and Marco for the first time in person! We also got to meet their sweet pup, Maya and one of Rebecca’s friends! These guys moved to North Carolina a few months ago and have been in planning mode for their wedding next year!
We met at the NC Museum of Art for their engagement session! Shooting at the NC Museum of Art never gets old! There are so many awesome spots for portraits! We adventuring around the building before heading out into the park! These two are so cool and we can’t wait to celebrate with them next April! Read on to learn about their proposal!

Marco had a bike ride planned to do about 200 miles in one day, and Rebecca was set to drive and meet up with him at certain points. The first stop was planned for Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis, MN, where he would also meet up with one of his friends to ride with for part of his miles. When Marco got there, he wanted to take a picture down by the falls, so we all walked down there. After waiting for our turn, he asked his friend to take our picture, and that’s when he surprised Rebecca and got down on one knee (wearing his helmet and all)! Rebecca was so surprised that she kind of froze for a few seconds (long enough to make Marco nervous), but then she excitedly said yes!
