It’s been exactly 1 week since Anna and Scott tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the Mayton Inn in Cary, North Carolina! Brian and I had so much fun celebrating with these guys and their friends and families! Their Mayton Inn wedding ceremony was filled with so many tears and sniffles! The reception was the total opposite with lots of smiles and laughter!

When we arrived, Anna was busy getting dressed with her Mother and sisters inside of the bridal suite! Scott and the guys were getting ready in a separate room! This was my first time photographing a wedding at the Mayton Inn! It’s such a quaint and pretty hotel in the heart of Cary, NC! I’ve probably driven by it hundreds of times and never realized it was there! Before the ceremony started, Anna and Scott exchanged letters that they had written to each other! So sweet! After Anna shared a first look with her Father, everyone headed downstairs for the ceremony. The bride walked down the aisle to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri as Scott held back tears! There were lots of sniffles and tears while the couple exchanged their vows!

After the ceremony, everyone headed outside for cocktail hour while we took portraits in front of the inn! The remainder of the evening was spent with dinner and dancing inside of the reception room!

We’re so excited for these guys and so glad that we could be a part of their day!

Tell us about your proposal:

We met in 2011 and started dating within a few months. Since that time, my life has been nothing short of amazing. Scott proposed to me in December 2016 while we were decorating our Christmas tree. We bought 2 cloth reindeer ornaments (an annual tradition to find fun, new ornaments) that were SO cute! One boy and one girl. While I went to pour some hot chocolate for the two of us, Scott took out the girl reindeer and put my ring on her wrist before putting her back in. When I came back and took her out sometime later, I saw it right away and said: “Oh my gosh babe look at her bracelet it’s so beautiful!” Hahahaha. I then saw it was a ring and immediately broke into tears and said yes a million times. Between crying, laughing, and spilling some hot chocolate, it was the perfect proposal and I’ll always remember just how sweet/excited/nervous Scott looked. Around the very same time next year, our Liam was born. I’ve had 2 amazing, back-to-back Decembers, and I’m hoping for a third.
