We’re always saying how amazing our couples are! Alycia and Caleb are definitely one of those couples! From our first conversation over the phone, I knew that we’d have a lot of fun together! These two were so excited to be planning their North Carolina wedding while living in Maryland! I can only imagine the stress that comes along with planning a wedding states away, but these guys made it happen! Their Market Hall wedding is one for the books!
We met for the first time during Covid at the NC Museum of Art and talked about pretty much everything! From sunflowers to food to travel! Lots of travel talk! Anyone who knows us, knows that travel is our love language! I could talk about new cities and adventures all day!
Months later, their wedding day was finally here! I met with Alycia and her friends before the ceremony while Brian setup for the day downstairs! Market Hall is a really neat wedding venue in the heart of downtown Raleigh! One of the things that I love about Market Hall is that there are so many fun locations within walking distance for portraits! Alycia and Caleb shared the sweetest first look just before the ceremony! I love when our couples choose to do a first look!
The couple exchanged vows, laughs and rings before being announced as husband and wife! After the ceremony, everyone headed to cocktail hour while we took portraits outside on the cobblestone streets! After cocktail hour, everyone headed into the reception! Brian announced the newlyweds in to a fun song and then we got to witness their first dance! Alycia’s brother played a special song on the guitar just after dinner! Then the couple cut their PANCAKE cake! How cool is that!
Everyone enjoyed brunch and dancing before heading outside for the exit! Caleb and Alycia drove off in the coolest car to end the day! It was the best day ever and we are so happy to have been a part of it all! Congratulations again guys!
Tell us about your proposal!
It was a sunny day in early May (one of the nicest days in covid summer) and he took me out to go get some food and visit a botanical garden in Baltimore. While we were seated next to all the roses he gave me a snack (I am ALWAYS hungry, really) and inside my bag of cookies was an engagement ring. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.
What are you most excited about on your day?
We are both just so ready to be reunited with our family members and close friends that we have not seen for over a year due to COVID. So ready to have good vibes, good cocktails and good music throughout the whole Sunday. We are both excited to dance and eat delicious brunch favorites like our 3-tiered pancake cake and shrimp & grits.
