I love weddings! I truly do! There is just something so magical about a wedding! The dress, the shoes, the tie, the cuff links and especially the ring! Plus the love, emotions, tears, happiness, everything that comes along with the day that two become one is truly amazing! But today, we’re going to talk about how we love rings! Or maybe I should say how we love photographing rings!

One of my favorite parts of the day is when I walk over to my bride and groom and ask to borrow those shiny, new pieces of bling! Creating an unique photo of such a special piece of jewelry is priceless to me!

For the photo above, we grabbed a small donut from the Parlour in Durham, North Carolina and placed this lovely ring on top! 

Brian actually grabbed the photo above while I photographed the wedding party! How can you resist using sea shells while at a beach wedding for the ring shot!

I love the bright colors in this one! Another beautiful photo that Brian took while at a wedding last May! We combined this beautiful ring with a leaf during one of our engagement photo sessions last fall!

I am a huge fan of bokeh and using background lights! This photo was taken at the American Tobacco District in Durham during one of our engagement sessions! The lights in the background were actually string lights and I placed the ring in a tiny tree! 🙂
