Kayla and Derek are engaged and they are so cute together! From our first conversation, we knew that Derek and Kayla would fit right into our family! Plus, we’re pretty much neighbors, same area, different neighborhood! I’d say that counts as neighbors! Their JC Raulston Arboretum engagement was so much fun to photograph! They actually chose JC Raulston Arboretum and Yates Mill Pond Park, which was really fun! I love that both locations are outdoorsy but totally different!

The flowers were in full bloom

We started their session at JC Raulston Arboretum! Being that it was summer, the flowers were in full bloom! There are so many pretty areas for photos at the arboretum! I love the outfits and colors that Kayla and Derek chose for their session! We adventured through the arboretum and even stopped in the same spot where Derek proposed to Kayla! It was so sweet to see where it all happened!

Next, we headed over to Yates Mill Pond Park for part two of their engagement photo session! One of the things that I thought was so cute about these two is that after almost pose, they’d share a little kiss! So sweet! Brian and I enjoyed spending the evening with these two and can’t wait to celebrate with them next spring! I won’t tell you where they’re getting married just yet, but it’s where Brian and I had our first ever wedding together!
