There are so many reasons why we love what we do! We love meeting new people! We love “love” and helping couples celebrate one of the most important days of their lives! We believe that marriage is special and sacred! From our first conversation with Casey, we knew that her and BJ would fit right into the Story and Rhythm family! It became even clearer when Casey said that it didn’t matter if she had to wear sweat pants, she just wanted to marry BJ! So sweet! Brian and I couldn’t wait to witness them exchange vows at their Inn at Crestwood wedding in Blowing Rock, North Carolina! After months of planning and waiting for their special day to arrive, it was finally here!

Brian and I drove out to Boone, NC from Raleigh, NC to spend the weekend with Casey and BJ! One of the things that we love about being a wedding photographer and DJ team is that we get to travel all over the world with our couples! I fell in love with the mountains a couple of years ago and loved the though of spending the day in the mountains with Casey and BJ! Although I’m not a huge fan of the winding roads, I do love the mountains and scenery!

I love that Casey chose to do a first look with her big brother just before her first look with BJ! There were so many tears and both first looks were beyond sweet! There was an 80% chance of rain on Saturday, but we all had our fingers crossed for a beautiful day in the mountains! The day started out as sunny and clear but slowly turned into clouds! I’ve always heard that rain is a sign of good luck on your wedding day! The rain started just as Casey and BJ made their way into the ceremony location! It was so sweet how the best man and maid of honor held umbrellas over them while they exchanged their vows! After the ceremony, all of the guest took a few minutes to dry off and then headed to cocktail hour on the terrace! The reception party at the Inn at Crestwood was so much fun! The couple shared their first dance as husband and wife, cut the cake and partied the remainder of the night away! Their destination mountain wedding ended with a fun sparkler exit outside on the terrace!
