Hurricane Prep

September 8, 2017

I am probably one of the scariest people whenever a storm approaches! Brian can tell you that anytime it thunders, I go into scary mode! I will be glued to the news. So when we started hearing about Hurricane Irma, I started to get nervous! And I still am! Last year when Matthew hit us, I felt like we really weren’t prepared! Between hearing the news say that it may or may not happen, we didn’t really take time to buy flashlights or lots of can food! Although the storm wasn’t that bad at our house, we were without power for 4 days following Matthew! It was seriously terrible but I know that it could have been must worse! This time, I want to be sure that we don’t make the same mistake!

In preparation of the storm that we pray passes us by, we made a small list of must have items to pick up. Here’s what we have on our list.

Flashlights

Candles/Matches

Batteries

Snacks

Water

Charcoal

Just in case our power goes out again, we want to make sure that we have flashlights and candle! Water and food is a must! Especially food that we can eat and prepare without electricity.

What are some of your must have hurricane prep items? Leave them below!
