I always find the story of how I got started in photography a little funny! Â Everyone seems to have about the same story of how they got started, but here goes mine! My Dad handed me my first camera when I was a little girl! I was probably about 10 or 11 (maybe younger) and I had no idea what I was doing! I loved that I could take photos of my family and friends and then take my film to the local Walmart to get it developed! It was magical!
I remember begging my parents to buy me more film so that I could take lots of photos! I also remember that when I picked up my developed photos, there would be lots that didn’t come as I had hoped! Thankfully the photo technician would cut the cost for all of the photos that didn’t develop correctly! That saved my parents a ton of money! 😀
As I got older, I got a little better and eventually got my first digital camera for Christmas! Wow, it was even easier to see my photos now! I kept telling myself that one day I would become a photographer! Years later, millions of photos later, I found myself being a stay at home Mom! Between college, kids and working as a Pediatric Medical Assistant, I had almost forgotten how much I loved photographed! So I knew that it was now or never! And here we are!
I absolutely love photography and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to do what I love!
