We suggest booking your wedding photographer at least 12 months in advance! Or as soon as you get engaged and have an idea of when your wedding will be! Here’s why!

Most professional and amazing wedding photographers book their calendars at least 1-2 years in advance! There have been so many times that we’ve gotten inquiries from sweet brides but had to tell them that we were already booked on their wedding date! It always breaks our heart to have to tell a bride that news, but it happens! Once you’re engaged and have an idea of when you’ll get married, start reaching out to photographers! Sometimes you may find the perfect photographer but they’re unavailable on your date! If you haven’t nailed down other specifics yet, don’t be afraid to be flexible with your wedding date as well!

Booking your wedding photography in advance ensures that you have plenty of time to take engagement photos! Especially if you prefer a certain season for your engagement portraits! For example, you really love spring flowers but you’re getting married in the fall! Booking early allows you time to plan your engagement session during your favorite season! Booking early also allows you to use your photos on your save the dates and invitations too.
