How Far in Advance Should I Book My Wedding DJ?

The answer varies based on when you’re getting married! The busiest time of year for North Carolina weddings is typically April through October (sometimes November too)! May and October are two of our busiest months! If you’re planning for any time between April and October, I suggest booking your wedding DJ 9-12 months in advance! This ensures that you’re able to book who you really want as your wedding DJ! And you don’t have to worry about finding someone at the last minute!

If you’re planning your wedding between December and March, you may not have to book as far in advance! I still suggest researching around 9-12 months out, but 6 months ahead of time should be plenty. These months tend to be a little slower in our area. However, that also depends on how popular the DJ that you’re interested in is! I suggest asking the DJ that you’re looking to hire how far in advance most of his/her clients book. This will give you a better idea of when you should be ready to sign the contract!
