Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral Wedding | Grace and John

Grace and John’s wedding has been a long time in the making! These two have been together since high school! We met these guys for the first time back in 2019! From our first meeting, Brian and I knew that Grace and John would be so much fun to work with! Plus Grace’s parents were just the coolest! We knew their special day would be a blast! But then Covid-19 stopped the world! Literally! We were a few weeks from their special day when everything shut down! John and Grace decided to postpone their special day! They ultimately decided to get married in a private ceremony on Topsail Island last fall and pushed their big celebration to 2021! It was one of the simplest and sweetest ceremonies we’ve ever been a part of!

This past August, they finally got to have that big celebration! All of their friends and family gathered at the Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral for their ceremony! This was our first time visiting the cathedral and it is just as breathtaking on the inside as it is on the outside! It was a beautiful location for Grace and John’s wedding ceremony! After the ceremony, we headed across the street to the WRAL Azalea Garden’s for portraits! This ended up being the perfect location for portraits! Minus all of the honeybees that swarmed us! I have a feeling the mix of honey conditioner in my hair and the sweet smelling bouquets that the girls had attracted all of the honeybees! Note to self, don’t use honey conditioner before taking photos in a flower garden! While we finished up portraits, the rest of their guest got to enjoy music as Brian played at the cocktail hour at Cannon Room!

These are the moments that we live for!

Brian introduced the wedding party and newlyweds into the reception! Everyone enjoyed toast, dinner, cake and dancing throughout the remainder of the evening! I absolutely loved listening to John’s brothers as they talked about their brother and Grace! And seeing Grace’s grandfather on the dance floor! They didn’t think that he’d make it to the wedding on the original date and to have him there on the dance floor was so special! These are the moments that we live for!

We’ve been obsessing over these guys and now we’re sharing their special day with you guys! Congrats again Grace and John!
