Hilton Norfolk The Main | Markus and Kia

Kia and Markus shared an amazing day with their friends and family in Norfolk, Virginia this past summer! After months of planning and chatting with these guys, we finally got to meet them on their wedding day! If you know Brian and I personally, you know that we’re both pretty shy! So whenever we’re meeting a new couple for the first time, our nerves are both on 100! But Kia and Markus immediately made us feel at home! These two are one of the sweetest couples!

I started the day with Kia and her girls as they were getting dressed in the bridal suite! The views from the bridal suite were breathtaking as it overlooks the downtown waterfront! After makeup, it was time for Kia and the girls to get dressed! I am obsessed with Kia’s bridal gown! She looked absolutely stunning in it! Markus and his guys were getting dressed downstairs near the ballroom! Before long, it was time for the ceremony to begin!

Watching Markus and Kia both tear up as she walked down the aisle was so sweet! They exchanged vows and kissed for the first time as husband and wife before dancing their way out of the ceremony! After the ceremony, we gathered everyone for family formals in the ballroom and then headed outside for more photos!

This was our first time visiting downtown Norfolk, but I love the area around the hotel! We spent some time across the street and then headed into the street for a group shot! Afterwards, everyone headed back inside for the reception! The reception space looked amazing! I loved the black and white checkered dance floor! The rest of the evening consisted of dinner, toast, cake (the cake and tasted amazing), and dancing! Everyone hit the dance floor as Brian played some of the couple’s favorite songs! The party was beyond epic!

We had the best time at the Hilton Norfolk The Main with these guys! We couldn’t have asked for a better first time in the area! Thanks again for sharing your journey with us Kia and Markus!

What are you most excited about on your wedding day?

I am most excited about getting married to my best friend, seeing everything come together, getting dolled up, and sharing this special moment with family and friends.
