I first met these two at Barnes & Nobles in Brier Creek last fall! A few months later it was their special day! It was a beautiful, sunny day in September when Candice and Marquis tied the knot! Their Hilton  hotel wedding in Durham, North Carolina was beyond emmaculate! Everything took place at the Hilton Durham near Duke University! We arrived around 12 p.m. to begin the day! This was our first time visiting the Hilton hotel in Durham! It is a beautiful location! I love the modern decor in the lobby area of the hotel!

While Brian started setting up his equipment to play for the ceremony and reception, I headed upstairs to meet with the bride and her bridesmaids!  The makeup artist, Ayoka Gay, was busy prepping one of the bridesmaids for the wedding! Candice seemed so relaxed as she waited to get her makeup done! After photographing a few details, we decided to drive over to meet the groom at their home!

The guys were busy getting dressed when we arrived! The groom wore a gray suit from Men’s Wearhouse along with black dress shoes! The guys chatted, laughed and shared a toast together! 

When we returned to the hotel, Candice was in the makeup seat!  I am always amazed by the makeup artist and how they are able to flawlessly enhance the beauty of a bride! 

Before long, it was time to head downstairs to Candice and Marquis’s ceremony location! The ballroom had been decorated with coral and mint along with silver chiavari chairs! The decor was simple, yet beautiful! Sometimes I feel less is more when it comes to decorating the ceremony space!

Such a stunning couple! I love these precious moments during the ceremony! 

After the ceremony, the wedding party gathered in the lobby for a few photos before heading into the reception! 

One of the sweetest times during a wedding is when I can sneak the bride and groom away for a few minutes! We headed outside of the hotel during dinner to capture a few photos of Candice and Marquis! In a quiet little spot, tucked behind the hotel, magic happened! They are truly a beautiful couple! 

We spent the rest of the evening enjoying the reception with everyone! Brian played music for all of the guest to enjoy! There was a photo booth and the cutest little cake in a jar favors! The couple cut a beautiful, floral designed cake together! After the garter and bouquet tosses, everyone danced the night away! 

Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of your special day! It was truly a beautiful day! Congratulations Candice and Le’ Marquis! We can’t wait to see where love will take you!
