We love that Kanisha and Spencer chose to have their wedding in the place where it all started for them! Kanisha had just transferred into Greensboro college when she met Spencer for the first time. They never really talked until after Kanisha graduated from school! A conversation about the military led these two to love!
Spencer and Kanisha were planning the wedding of their dreams when Covid-19 shut down the world! That didn’t stop these two from tying the knot though! They decided to get married on Greensboro college campus and postpone their big wedding until 2021. I think that was a great idea! This past April, we finally got to celebrate with these two!
The day was perfect, rain and all! Kanisha and her girls got all dolled up for photos and the reception. Since they were already married, we headed over to the chapel to take portraits before their Greensboro Marriott reception instead of having a formal ceremony. Once they were introduced into the reception, they had a short ceremony in front of their family and friends. This was my first time visiting the Marriott in downtown Greensboro! It’s a really pretty venue in the heart of Greensboro, North Carolina.
After dinner, everyone danced the evening away! The newlyweds shared some Mardi Gras flavor with their friends and families. It’s was really fun to watch!
We had an amazing time celebrating with Kanisha and Spencer. Check out a few highlights from their special day now!
Tell us about your proposal!
It was June 22nd, 2018 the day our gender reveal. We reserved a section at the Cutting Board in Burlington NC. We had our immediate families and friends to join in on the surprise! The atmosphere was amazing filled with love and joy. It was time to reveal the gender of baby Shoffner which was a boy!! We were both thrilled with excitement to hear our bundle of joy was a boy. After everyone got settled we wanted to thank our love one for sharing this special moment. Little did I know, there was another surprise underway. Spencer was giving his thanks and by the time he finished he was on one knee!! That will always be a memorable night.
