It’s amazing how fast technology changes! It has only been 5 years since Addie was born, but things have changed a lot since then. There are some items like our Ergo baby carrier that we loved last time that we decided to use again. There are also lots of new items on market. Some seem super helpful and some not so much. Here are a few of my favorite baby finds so far!
PumpEase Hands-Free Pumping Bra
If you’ve used a breast pump, you know how boring it can be. Yes, it’s amazing to be able to pump for your little ones but holding the flanges in place for so long can be boring. I’m still not sure how I survived without this bra! It has been a total lifesaver when it comes to pumping. It goes on really easy and the flanges sit through the slits on both sides. Once in place, you are free to use your hands for other things like typing, eating ice cream or flipping channels with the remote. I tend to nurse on one side while the other side pumps and this bra allows me to still hold baby and burp him once he’s done! It’s really awesome!
The Kiinde system
I have to say “thank you” to our past bride and friend, Kalithia, for sharing this amazing system with me! It has been great and so much easier than using baby bottles. If you’ve never heard of it, check out their website. Basically you connect these little bags to your breast pump and you pump directly into the bag. Once you’re finished, you can store the milk in the little bag in the fridge or freezer. When you’re ready to use it, simply take it out, insert into these little bottle like objects and pop a nipple on top. When you’re done feeding baby, just throw away the bag! It seriously eliminates the need of having to wash a ton of bottles and you don’t have to worry about spilling milk while trying to pour it into a bottle! I love this system!
Jujube BFF Diaper bag
If you read one of our past blogs before Keegan arrived, you’ve probably seen this diaper bag. Now that I’ve had a chance to use it, I absolutely love it! It’s really roomy inside and looks great too! Jujube has lots of new prints out that look awesome too!
Swaddleme wrap
One of the Mom’s in my online group recommended these blankets. Keegan seems to really enjoy being swaddled and this little wrap makes it easy. I actually learned how to swaddle with a blanket this time, but I still like this wrap!
Itzy Ritzy Carseat Canopy
I never used a carseat canopy with my girls, but with the cold weather and bright sun at times, I thought why not give one a try. We found this little canopy at Babies R Us and it works great. I still want to check out the Milk Snob covers, but for now, this one will do.
I would love to hear about some of your favorite baby items. Let us know what you’ve used and loved below.
