Brian and I had fun getting to know Jessica and Kegan over the past few months! Prior to their wedding day, we met at one of our favorite delis, McAllister’s Deli, and talked about everything from shopping to vacations. I learned that Jessica is pretty much my twin when it comes to having a love for planning every little detail when traveling and shopping at Old Navy! We couldn’t wait to spend the day celebrating with these guys at their Durham Cotton Room wedding!

Kegan and Jessica’s Durham Cotton Room wedding was elegant, yet simple! The Cotton Room is one of my favorite wedding venues in Durham, North Carolina! We’ve visited a lot of venues over the years and if I had to choose one to visit over and over again, it would definitely be The Cotton Room! The weather was beautiful, sunny and hot on the day that these two exchanged their vows! When we arrived, Brian headed upstairs to start setting up for the ceremony while I headed into the bridal suite to meet with the girls! The next couple of hours were spent hanging out with the bride and groom and their bridal party as they got dressed!

There were lots of giggles

Jessica walked into the ceremony with her Mother as Kegan saw her for the first time. The ceremony was short and sweet. There were lots of giggles from Kegan and Jessica (and their guest) during the ceremony! After the ceremony, we spent the cocktail hour taking family portraits, bridal party photographs and photos of the bride and groom!

Next, it was time to introduce the newlyweds into the reception! The couple shared their first dance as husband and wife together! The first dance is one of my favorite moments during a wedding day! It’s always sweet to watch and photograph the couple as they chat, dance and sometimes even shed a few years! After the dances were complete, dinner was served and everyone sat down to eat! I loved that they chose to have an omelet station! I’m a huge fan of Triangle Catering at the Cotton Room!

The couple ended the day with a bubble exit surrounded by their family and friends! It was such an amazing day and we’re so happy to have been a witness to it all!
