We first met Johnria and Josh at McAlister’s Deli near Southpoint Mall a few months ago! They told us all about their wedding plans for next year! There wedding will take place in Durham, North Carolina, so their downtown Durham engagement photo session was the perfect fit!

We met at the American Tobacco District area in downtown Durham on a beautiful Sunday in December! You never know what to expect from the weather in North Carolina! Some days are warm and others are freezing! We spent some time adventuring around the American Tobacco District area! I have grown to love this location for portraits when in Durham! Between the water tower and the beautiful exposed brick, it creates the perfect backdrop for portraits.

Johnria and Josh along with their son had a little fun with a rather large game of chest before heading into the ice skating rink!

I just love when our couples play into my crazy ideas!
