You know that feeling when you meet a new friend and you automatically feel like you’ve known them forever! That’s exactly how Brian and I felt when we met Tracey last year! From our first conversation, I knew that Tracey and her Fiance, Jasper, would fit perfectly into the Story and Rhythm family! I love Tracey’s laid back but fun personality! And when I met Jasper, I could tell that they were such a sweet couple together! I think that it’s so cute how they call each other “fiance!” We couldn’t wait to celebrate with them at their summer Cotton Room wedding!
Brian and I were so excited when their wedding day finally arrived! This was our first time working a wedding at the Cotton Room in Durham, but we have always heard so many awesome things about the space! I can totally see why these guys chose it for their wedding day!
Tracey and Jasper were both busy getting dressed when we arrived! I love that they had a small wedding party! Tracey’s sister was her only bridesmaid and Jasper’s brother was his only groomsmen! After spending some time with both of these guys, it was time for the ceremony to begin! One of my favorite moments during the ceremony is when the groom sees his bride for the first time! There are so many emotions that surround that one moment! As Tracey walked down the aisle, I turned around to see Jasper in tears! It truly doesn’t get any sweeter than that!
After the ceremony, everyone headed out to the cocktail hour while we setup for formal photographs in the ceremony space! Brian played music while the guest enjoyed cocktail hour food and drinks! Next everyone took a seat for the reception! It’s been a few weeks since Tracey and Jasper’s wedding, but I am still craving the banana nut muffins! They were just that good! The newlyweds exited to their family and friends throwing rose petals before hopping into a classic Rolls Royce!
We had so much fun celebrating with Tracey and Jasper! Cheers you two!
How did he propose?
Jasper entered the kitchen and asked if I could set my Chipotle leftovers down. Luckily I was not starving. He shyly confessed how much I meant to him and all that I had done for him. Then he removed his hand from behind his back and showed me a beautiful silver Pandora bracelet with wedding ring charms. He then got down on one knee and asked if I would accept this as his marriage proposal and if I would marry him. I happily accepted.
