Cotton Room Durham | Lianna and Jeremy

We’re always saying how awesome our couples are! They truly are the best! Every time that we meet a new couple, we’re literally in awe at how amazing everyone is! Lianna and Jeremy have definitely left us in awe! From the first time that we met them at the Raleigh Rose Garden for their engagement session to their fairytale of a wedding day at Cotton Room in downtown Durham! These two are such an amazing couple and we’re so blessed to have been a part of their special day!

If you’ve ever been to the Cotton Room Durham, you know that it is a dreamy wedding venue! Exposed brick, white drapes, the adorable bridal suite and cool grooms lounge are just some of our favorite things in the space! Lianna and her girls were in the process of getting their hair and makeup done when we arrived! I feel like the details set the mood for the day, so I like to start there! Jeremy and his guys were hanging out in the groom’s lounge downstairs!

The moment they saw each other was priceless!

Lianna and Jeremy didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, so they chose to do a first touch instead of a first look! It was absolutely perfect! They read their vows to one another and got to share a little private time together before the ceremony! The moment that they saw each other during the ceremony was priceless!

After the ceremony, everyone headed to cocktail hour while we walked over to the Beltline Station for portraits! The remainder of the evening was filled with dinner and dancing! Lianna and Jeremy danced for the first time as newlyweds to “Back at One” by Brian McKnight. There were quite a few tears in the room during toast. Listening to Lianna and Jeremy’s friends and family talk about how they met at nursing school and how much they love them was one of my favorite moments of the day!

The couple ended the night with sparklers right outside of the Cotton Room! The day was absolutely amazing! Now you can check out a few highlights from their dreamy wedding!

Tell us about your proposal!

We planned a trip to Disney world (my favorite place on the planet) for my birthday. On the day after my birthday, Jeremy woke my up at 4 AM before we got ready to go to the park. He gave a heart felt speech and proposed in bed w/ his great grandma’s ring.
